The Beauty Spot was established in the early 1990’s by the then owner Trish McAuliffe which was the first Beauty Salon to open in Renmark. Trish quickly established herself as a makeup artist with Italo Vadaro and the salon grew which lead me to join her in 1995.
The salon then moved to Ral Ral Avenue where Michele soon after purchased the business in 2014 before renaming to Beauty Spot Skin & Body Clinic.
Our dream was to always create a private and relaxing space that feels like a sanctuary for all clients that visit the clinic. We hope to offer an experience that is somewhere a little special to recharge and switch off from the day to day, even if it is for an eyebrow wax.
Michele always remembers a lovely lady calling into the salon and asking if she could just sit for a while. She didn’t ask for anything she just needed time for herself for a few minutes. This is a reflection of salon we have created. A space to stop and take the time.
The Body Spot Skin & Body Clinic prides itself on offering a space of true tranquillity for all who have visited over the past 32 years and who will visit over the years to come.
My Career began in 1990 after completing Diploma of Beauty Therapy at Tafe in Adelaide. Over the next few years I worked in one of Adelaide’s oldest established salons ‘Preen Beauty’ which gave me the grounding and desire to one day own my own salon. In 1993 my husband and I moved to the Riverland & as they say the rest is history.
Loves: Learning anything regarding health and beauty on a holistic level. Yoga, nature, travel, cooking, family community meeting interesting people.
Skills: We attain many skills within our career but we become so many more through our career. We become a teacher councillor mentor and a therapist on so many levels. Its a privilege to be able to make someone feel a little bit better about themselves on a daily basis.
Hopes and Dreams: With the ever changing world, wellness and health are going to be forefront in our industry. Because as we know what happens on the inside eventually shows on the skin and with our health. Collaborating with like minded businesses and helping our clients on their journey to looking & feeling their best has always been our goal.

I was born in and live locally in Renmark. I love socialising with friends and family, whilst enjoying the amazing local food and wine offered here in the Riverland. I also spend my time walking along the river and enjoying the laid back lifestyle.
I’ve been a Beauty Therapist for over 30 years and have worked at the Beauty Spot for 9 years.
I love we are helping people to relax, unwind and feel good about themselves, every time they enter the salon. My favourite treatments are the Sensitive Sensations Facial as it combines skin care with relaxation.
I’ve been passionately working in the beauty and spa industry since 2007, always committed to learning and upskilling through training with our skincare brands. Beauty has always been at the core of what I do.
My focus is to enhance natural beauty by making all our clients feel comfortable in their own skin.
My favorite treatment is our stress releaser deluxe.
There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing clients leave feeling happy, relaxed, and renewed after our treatments. It’s truly the most satisfying part of my work.
Partnering with sustainable salons early in 2022 has been an important stepping stone for the salon.
As an industry we are big waste producers so being able to recycle our waste and be able to bring our clients onboard with our rewards scheme is an important step in doing our part for the environment.
As part of the Sustainable Salons initiative, all services will incur a one off charge of $3.
